Residence Visa to Portugal

Living in Portugal has become a very attractive option for people of different nationalities. Safety, health, education and quality of life are the main benefits sought by those who decide to cross the Atlantic to start a new life in Portuguese lands.

However, just will is not enough to ensure the success of the plan to migrate to Portugal. It is necessary to obtain the guarantees that allow to live in a legal and safe way in the new country. The first step, of course, is the visa application, which must be carried out in Brazil.

In this sense, the Portuguese legislation currently provides 7 types of residence visa in the country:

D1: Exercise of subordinate professional activity;
D2: Exercise of independent professional activity or for entrepreneurs;
D3: Research activity or highly qualified;
D4: Study, student exchange, professional internship or volunteering;
D5: Mobility of students in higher education;
D6: For the purposes of family reunification;
D7: Retired, religious or people with incomes.

Knowing the characteristics of each one, so as to make the proper choice, greatly increases the chances of approval. That’s why it’s so important to have expert support. In the next posts, we will explain each of the visas and what to do to apply safely.
